Competition Format

The WELO National Qualifiers are delivered through the official WELO TOEFL® test, which serves as the national ranking assessment of the competition.

All participating students complete the same standardised test under defined academic conditions within their country.

The WELO TOEFL® Test

The WELO TOEFL® test evaluates core academic English skills required for international competition.

The assessment is:

• Standardised across participating schools
• Administered at accredited WELO Member Schools
• Supervised by National Committees
• Conducted under LearnRight® integrity standards

The test provides a verified score that determines national placement.

National Ranking & Qualification

Following completion of the WELO TOEFL® test:

• Results are compiled and verified
• National rankings are confirmed
• Top-performing students qualify for the WELO Finals

Advancement is based solely on official test results.
