Following the WELO National Qualifiers, official school rankings are published at national level.

Rankings apply exclusively to official WELO Member Schools and are designed to reward both academic excellence and inclusive participation.

Ranking Methodology

School rankings are calculated using two complementary components:

Participation Rate
Schools with a higher percentage of eligible students participating in the National Qualifiers receive a stronger participation coefficient. This rewards broad student involvement.

Performance Score (Top 40% Only)
The performance score is calculated using only the results of the top 40% of participating students from each school.
The remaining 60% of results are not included and do not negatively affect the ranking.

Outcome

• Schools with strong results and higher participation rank higher.
• Schools are never penalised for involving more students.
• Both academic quality and inclusivity are structurally rewarded.

This framework ensures fairness, transparency, and credibility in national school rankings.
