WELO operates through recognised national representatives responsible for coordinating participation within their respective countries.

National representatives support the development of the WELO framework at the national level by engaging schools, facilitating communication with the WELO Secretariat, and assisting with the organisation of national qualifiers and related activities.

This model allows WELO to maintain a globally coordinated structure while supporting local implementation through trusted national partners.

Appointment and Term

National representatives are formally recognised by WELO for defined terms aligned with the organisational development cycle.

The current national representation appointments are established for the 2026–2030 governance cycle. During this period, appointed representatives support the implementation and development of WELO activities within their respective countries.

Appointments may be reviewed or renewed by the Governing Committee in accordance with the WELO Charter and the evolving needs of the organisation.

• engagement with schools and educational institutions
• coordination of national participation in WELO activities
